Alex Iantaffi, PhD, MS, SEP, CST, CST-S, LMFT

Alex Iantaffi, PhD, MS, SEP, CST, CST-S, LMFT (they/he/lui) is an award-winning author, cultural worker, family therapist, WPATH certified gender specialist, AASECT certified sex therapist, Somatic ExperiencingⓇ practitioner, clinical supervisor and mentor.  They are Past President of the Minnesota Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and Former Chair & Co-founder of the Queer and Trans Advocacy Network. They are the author of several books, including "Gender Trauma: healing cultural, social, and historical gendered trauma", which was awarded the Nautilus gold category award and the AASECT Book Award for Sexuality Professionals. Alex is a sought-after International speaker and trainer who has presented (and published) extensively on gender, disability, sexuality, trauma, spirituality, and relationships. When they are not working, writing, parenting, or organizing, Alex can be found reading, sitting by the lake, crafting, watching TV and movies, making music, reading tarot, cooking, dancing, doing ritual, and hanging out with their dogs. They love collaborating with others in service to the vision of a more liberated world for all of us.

Root Holden, MDiv. Spiritual Direction (2027)

Root Holden (they/them) is a queer, disabled eco-spiritual care provider and interreligious celebrant based in Duluth, MN. To support their clients, Root provides spiritual discernment sessions, divination, ritual creation and facilitation, including hand fasting, naming ceremonies, and specializes in helping the gender expansive community in rites of passage surrounding transition.

Root is a Death Doula who supports clients, their families, and their systems of support through the process of death and dying, hosting death salons to answer questions about the process of funeral planning, working on paperwork with clients, working with clients and their support systems in discernment around the many decisions that come with the death and dying, and joining clients and their families in hospice and at home.
